Noemi Smorra & Lena Katina – Golden Leaves

I make no apologies for the fact that this piece of jangly pop featuring Lena Katina from t.A.T.u. (more from them later) is my first choice. It’s a bubbly, sweet song that always seems to be played when iTunes is on random play and I rarely skip it.

I started following Lena Katina as a solo artist after the final t.A.T.u. album of Happy Smiles (or Waste Management depending upon the region) showed how their individual styles were no longer working together. Finding that she had launched a solo-career (after a few false starts), her first album took forever to be released. However, this song, a duet with Italian actress and singer Noemi Smorra ended up on my playlists.

The song is best described as harmless, jangly pop but had a nice enough feel about it that seems to always make me feel a little lifted.
